Ruby Glynn is a 20-year-old jazz & contemporary vocalist, who draws on influences such as Amy Winehouse, Cecile McLorin Salvant and Joni Mitchell with a voice that is unique yet timeless, dynamic and intuitively musical.
Ruby presented a set of original material and classic repertoire with her quintet at the 2023 Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival at the Jazzlab. She was a finalist in the 2023 and 2024 Generations in Jazz Vocal Scholarships.

On this special show at The Brunswick Green, she’ll be presenting her original works, with a stellar band of Monty Price (guitar), Jack Smythe (bass) and Pat Skarajew (drums).

Sharing musical influences from artists such as Andrea Keller, Angela Davis and Keith Jarrett, BLEE will showcase the freedom of duo playing and and the unique voice improvisation brings to music.
