We are very excited to put on this 4pm Father's day show! Woolgathering will be performing arrangements of Jack Phemister's wonderful music, aswell as a set of their own. Join us for an afternoon of beautiful melodies.
Jack Phemister is a songwriter and performer from Yass, NSW, currently residing in Naarm/ Melbourne. Drawing on the beautiful, melancholic musings of Elliot Smith, and the twisted poetry of Nick Cave and Gareth Liddiard, Phemister has developed a distinctive fingerpicked voice on the guitar, and a passion for well crafted lyrics.
Woolgathering is a wind sextet run by Thomas ColemanBell. The group performs arrangements of original tunes as well as a mix of contemporary and classical favorites. With Each member being a talented imrpoviser, the music explores the third stream, combining improvisation with contemporary arranging in both jazz and classical styles.
