What’s On At The Green

Over the last ten years The Brunswick Green has gained a reputation for supporting live performance of the highest quality.  A meeting place for performers from all over the arts, the Green prides itself on being an integral part of the thriving artistic community of Brunswick.

The Brunswick Green offers two performance spaces:

The Parlour Room
An intimate space where audiences can get up close to the action, listen to jazz, chamber music, bossa nova or a comedy or theatre act

The Beer Garden
For the total unwind, outdoor setting with live music on the weekend

Political Asylum (Comedy)- First Sunday of the Month 5.30-7.30

Highly Strung Sundays- Last Sunday of the Month 8.30pm-
A curated jazz guitar trio event hosted by Ryan Griffith featuring a wide roster of Melbourne's acclaimed and innovative jazz guitarists. Sometimes swingin', sometimes modern, sometimes free, always interactive, always entertaining. 

Other Sundays can be a grab bag of delights, visiting artists dropping in for an impromptu concert, string quartets, jam sessions, curated discussions/lectures.  keep checking in....

Tuesday- Improv Music Night 8.30pm
Some of the country’s leading improvising musicians let rip on Tuesdays.  Trumpet legend Scott Tinkler hosts his Tinky’s Tuesday’s sessions featuring local, National and International guests. Enter the unknown and enjoy the ride.

Wednesdays-Jazz Night 8pm
Including many of Melbourne’s top jazz musicians Wednesdays features music from the jazz tradition, all styles are welcome.   Wednesdays also hosts a jazz jam from 5.30-7.30pm, featuring the younger crop of Melbourne’s jazz talent, hosted by altoist Yang Chen.

Thursdays- Michelle Nicolle Band 8.30pm
A Thursday regular for over ten years, Michelle and her group hold court and take requests all night, reworking the great songs of the jazz tradition.


The Beer Garden

Saturdays & Sundays  4-6pm
A classic weekend session, curated by Ronny Ferella, live music in the beer garden adds to the relaxed vibe.  Duos and trios playing all sorts of roots music:  Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, Soul, Funk, Reggae, World Music.
