The Ossicles Trio is an all-new Naarm/Melbourne-based jazz trio bringing the intimate, interactive aesthetic of ECM jazz to local stages. Comprising Atharv Joshi (piano), Harsha Rajkumar (double bass), and Izaak Agnew (drums), the trio draws from the textures of European chamber jazz and the rhythmic urgency of the modern New York scene, and combines it with the distinctive voice of contemporary Australian jazz and their own original compositions. Individually the members have performed alongside major international jazz heavyweights such as Philip Dizack, Linda May Han Oh, and Antonio Sanchez. Supporting them is also the Adam Davidson Trio. Adam Davidson is a pianist and composer based in Naarm/Melbourne. He's joined by two of his favourite players Elly Blackham on tenor sax and Jarrod Hunter on guitar to present a set of originals and covers inspired by the sonic textures of ensembles such as The Paul Motion Trio and Carla Bley's later small ensemble recordings.
