On Friday 13th February 1996 a young and cheeky Blue Grassy Knoll took to the stage for the first time to perform 10 songs they’d cobbled together over the Summer. They quicky exploded onto the Melbourne music scene, gaining a cult following for their gypsy-bluegrass-punk sound, and over the next 15 years released albums and wrote multiple filmscores to silent Buster Keaton films. They toured extensively, first around Australia and then all over the world, becoming one of Australia’s premier arts exports. 30 years later, on Sunday 15th February at 4pm, these not-quite-youthful men will reassemble at the Brunswick Green and perform tunes from those early days, testing their muscle-memory and core strength, reinvigorating the tunes of yesteryear with the energy and anarchy that once had them terrorizing venues and festivals all over the globe. Starts at 4pm in the beer garden and entry is FREE
