Honey Jeremiah will explore freeform grooves using the creative approach pioneered
by bands like Can and The Necks, where time is no restraint, and harmonic
development occurs in the live moment.
The powerfully driving and dub-infused basslines of Tim Dennis set the foundation for
hypnotic keyboards and treated guitar by Michael Mildren who draws on his experience
playing a live 12-hour synth marathon show. Drummer, Brendan Payne combines the
drum kit with various percussive voices to form a more complex sound, utilising
brushes, sticks, mallets and hands to explore and complement the music while
propelling it on with infectious rhythms
The interaction between these three musicians is real jazz, though the aesthetic is not
confined by any one musical genre, creating a freeform and evolving sonic environment
where the audience can go on an internal reverie or just dance to the groove.
