We put this combo on back in February during our 303 residency and it just clicked. The energy, the contrast between sets, the whole night had a great feel, so we had to bring it back.
I can’t wait to fire up the quartet again for this one. We’ve got some new tunes in the mix, and the 303 residency in Feb really helped glue the music together. It’s such a fun, dynamic band and I love playing live with these guys — James Gilligan on bass, Louis King on guitar and Joe Talia on drums.
Lawrence Folvig opens with a solo baritone guitar set, blending his own compositions with improvised textures. It’s spacious, detailed and delicious.
Should be a great night!
